Furutech FI-8.1N C7 Power Connector

Furutech presents a compact C7 (Figure 8) connector designed for DIY mains cables, available in both gold-plated and NCF rhodium-plated variants. This connector features Furutech’s signature patented cryogenic treatment for enhanced performance.

With its high quality design, the Furutech FI-8.1 uses high quality materials to ensure excellent performance. Thus, the connector contacts are made of a Copper Alloy with Rhodium plating and α (Alpha) treatment. This treatment consists of a first cryogenization step and a second demagnetization step, which increases the conductivity of the contacts.

The connector body is made of Nylon and Fiberglass as well as NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula), an anti-resonance material. The latter uses a crystalline material with two active properties. The first is to generate negative ions to eliminate static electricity and the second is to convert thermal energy into infrared. Furutech combines NCF with ceramic nano-particles and carbon powder for a piezoelectric damping effect.

In addition, this FI-8.1 incorporates a brand new cable holding and resonance control system, all in a more compact format ideal for use in confined spaces.
