Furutech LAN 7 - Audiophile Ethernet Cable
The Furutech LAN-7 is a powerful and robust RJ45 Ethernet cable. To ensure optimal conductivity, it integrates 24AWG OCC Copper section conductors plated Silver and mounted in twisted pairs.
In addition, Furutech's Alpha cryogenic processing maximizes the conductivity and stability of the signal. The cable is terminated with 24k gold plated connectors with the same Alpha treatment.
This LAN-7 Ethernet cable is a Cat 7 model. This means that it supports a bandwidth of 10 Gigabit on a frequency of 600Mhz. This Cat 7 also requires independent shielding of each pair of conductors, as well as overall shielding to limit noise and crosstalk, to which Furutech adds a third layer of shielding. It is therefore a STP type shielding with aluminium and braided copper strip. Cat 7 cables are also backward compatible with Cat 5e and Cat 6 equipment.

It also features improved specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Category 6a with added shielding for each individual wire pair and the cable as a whole. Besides the additional shielding, the LAN-7 features twisted pairs with the number of twists per unit length increasing RF shielding and protecting from crosstalk.
