The Tiglon D-REN Earth Grounding Cable represents the pinnacle of audio signal integrity. Engineered with premium conductor and insulator technology derived from the acclaimed TPL-2000RX flagship line, this cable incorporates advanced vibration damping through an exterior sheath featuring tuning spacer D-REN pro technology. Enhanced with proprietary HSE treatment, it delivers an unprecedented reduction in electrical noise while revealing a remarkably realistic and expansive soundstage. Experience the transformative clarity that comes from meticulous engineering and sonic refinement.

The Tiglon D-REN Earth is a high-end grounding cable designed to connect an audio component to a grounding point, creating a virtual earth. It works by absorbing noise and vibration, leading to a quieter background, clearer image, and a more realistic soundstage.

The D-REN Earth cable was originally developed to be used with Tiglon's TMB-DR20E anti-vibration platform, which also functions as an artificial ground. By connecting the D-REN Earth between the audio component and the magnesium plate within the TMB-DR20E, users can create a virtual earth environment for enhanced noise absorption and vibration control.

How virtual ground improves audio

In audio systems, a virtual ground—also known as a star ground or virtual earth—provides a consistent, low-impedance reference point for the equipment. In the case of the Tiglon D-REN Earth and TMB-DR20E platform, this is achieved by connecting the audio component to the platform's internal magnesium plate, which acts as a noise-absorbing ground. The benefits of this type of grounding include:

  • Lower noise floor: The cable and platform absorb electromagnetic interference, resulting in a blacker background from which the music can emerge.
  • Improved resolution: With less noise, subtle details and nuances in the music become more audible.
  • Better imaging and soundstage: A clearer background leads to more precise and realistic instrument placement within the soundstage
Features
  • Conductor and insulator: It uses the same DF-OFC (Differential-Flex Oxygen-Free Copper) conductor and "Super Clear Isolator" as Tiglon's flagship interconnect, the TPL-2000RX.
  • Vibration control: The outer sheath is formed using technology from the "D-REN Pro" tuning spacers to provide vibration damping directly on the wire itself.
  • Noise absorption: The patented magnesium shielding further absorbs noise, improving background tranquility.
  • HSE treatment: This proprietary annealing process, also used in the TPL-2000 series, treats the cable to further enhance its performance.
  • Terminals: Options include rhodium-plated spade terminals to round terminals for connecting to various audio components and virtual ground points.
  • Made in Japan

          About

Tiglon is a Japanese high-end audio manufacturer specializing in cables and accessories for the audiophile market. Founded by Kentaro Okino, the company's reputation is built on its innovative and patented use of magnesium, a material chosen for its superior ability to suppress vibrations and shield against electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Tiglon's philosophy is centered on the pursuit of "unknown sound" by creating accessories that reveal the natural texture and emotion of music. The company believes that by focusing on material science and vibration control, it can create products that bring "emotion and fun" to the audio experience. This is achieved by protecting the signal from external noise and interference, creating a quiet background that allows musical details to emerge naturally.

Key Innovations include: Magnesium shielding technology utilizes a patented magnesium foil to protect the cables. This material effectively absorbs vibrations and blocks EMI/RFI interference, without producing the metallic "ringing" found in copper or aluminum. The Hyper Saturated Energizer (HSE) treatment, developed in partnership with European and Asian engineers, applies programmed electrical currents to the conductor to enhance its crystal structure. This process shortens the break-in period and improves clarity, depth, and tonal balance. The D-REN sheath, initially designed for "D-REN Pro" tuning spacers, reduces micro-vibrations and static electricity, enhancing overall audio quality.
