TAD Labs' Evolution M1000 seeks to enhance the overall system aesthetic by adopting a design that matches that of the TAD D1000 disc player and DA1000 D/A converter. With revisions to the design of its voltage amplification circuitry and power supply grounding, and the adoption of new components, this amplifier delivers further improvements to the high-speed and innovative sound quality already offered by the Evolution series.

TAD strives for symmetry in both circuitry and structure, with the goal of achieving perfect balance to precisely drive speaker systems to their utmost limits.

By completely isolating the left and right channels from input to output, completely balanced symmetry is maintained. All aspects of the TAD-M1000 follow a dual mono design structure with the power transformer, rectifier circuits, smoothing circuits and stabilizing circuits completely independent for the left and right channels.

Additionally, symmetry is maintained within each channel by using separate positive and negative voltage rails. Utilizing a BTL (bridged transformer-less) design, with two output stages connected in a balanced configuration for each channel, the TAD-M1000 delivers 500W per channel.

Thorough vibration control is vital as even micro vibrations can produce signal variations and ultimately affect sound quality. By utilizing a three-point support structure with internally inverted spikes crafted using a hybrid structure of CRMO (chromium molybdenum) steel, the TAD-M1000 chassis is effectively isolated from external vibrations. The physical isolation from vibration improves the output signal accuracy and enhances the power and vibrancy of sound produced by the amplifier.

To achieve superior speed and energy, the TAD-M1000 is engineered with a Class D output stage combined with a power supply circuit design featuring a high capacity (1kVA-class) toroidal power transformer and specially designed electrolytic capacitors. Additionally, TAD employs very low on-resistance power MOSFETs with no lead wires that provide low-loss, high-speed performance.

The result is high signal purity, accuracy and superior high speed amplification directly transferring the energy from the power supply to the speaker. Thanks to the high efficiency of this Class D amplifier design, the TAD-M1000 produces high power output without requiring large, external heat sinks, allowing the design aesthetic to match the unique shape of the TAD Evolution series.

  • Symmetry: Duallogic-Circuit Technology To drive your speaker diaphragms precisely, it is crucial that the positive and negative current paths in the voice coils be precisely symmetrical. Duallogic-circuit technology aims to achieve that perfect balance by paying caretul attention not only to the type of circuitry used, but symmetry in structure and every other detail
  • Damping: Vibration-Absorbing Technology Placement of the massive heavy base has been designed to lower the center of gravity, thus further reducing vibrations. The power transformer is also mounted in the chassis by four pin-point supports to suppress internal vibration. In these and other ways, the design provides enhanced suppression of both internal and external vibration.
  • High 90 %+ efficiency By using high-performance D-class amplifier circuitry with greater than 90 % efficiency, energy loss is reduced to a bare minimum, producing a design with low power consumption.
  • High-capacity power unit The TAD-M1000 design features two powerful 1 kVA power transformers, providing excellent responsiveness to drive your speakers accurately.
  • Drive power with rated output 500 W / 4 Ohms Providing both low loss and high-speed performance, the lead-less power FET output stage features a simple single output that producing effortless power of 500 W/4 Ohms (2ch).
  • ISO (isolation) mount technology TAD-M1000 adopted an insulator with a spike structure following it of the Reference series. It controls vibration more effectively. Experience the fusion of the sound image and sound field at a high level that is achieved by the excellent resolution.
