The TAC K-35 tube amplifier stands for outstanding sound and an excellent price-performance ratio. It was only logical, then, to provide this device with an appropriate source. With the TAC C-35, we have succeeded in doing just that. Dedicated to sound, we have created a CD player that meets the highest standards, and not just externally.
Beneath the aluminum and acrylic exterior lies the experience of over 15 years of device development and production. Since the tube amp company TAC stands for consistent use of tubes in the signal path, several tubes were placed in the C-35's sound paths. A 6N10, for example, drives the headphone output. So, tube sound here too. The other two 12AX7s are in the signal path and operate at the audio output. However, since these double triodes are not yet fully utilized with the signals, part of them is entrusted with voltage stabilization.
The digital section houses a proven decoder from Burr Brown, the PCM1732. This circuit, developed for high-end audio applications, operates at a sampling rate of 24 bit/96 kHz, allowing it to read High Definition Compatible Digital (HDCD). This is also the case in the C-35. The 8x oversampling rounds out the decoder's excellent features. As already mentioned, the resulting analog signals are then routed and processed via tubes. The result is very fine treble resolution and excellent spatiality.
But how can you describe sound? It's best if you hear it yourself!
