While the rest of the lineup serves as an admirable bridge to Synergistic Research's ultra-high-end architecture, the flagship SRX PowerCell distinguishes itself through a radical escalation in scale, material execution, and sheer conditioning surface area. Whereas entry and mid-tier models like the PowerCell 12 SX and PowerCell 14 utilize smaller or fewer folded EM cells, the flagship deploys a massive array of 16 folded carbon fiber EM cells and two horizontal plane cells. This yields an astronomical 17,340 square centimeters of total electromagnetic coupling area—a surface area five times larger than the standard PowerCell 14 and nearly 20 times that of the legacy PowerCell SX. Point to Point with Pure Silver
To ensure energy can be transferred between the internal components to surpass 20A peak current, each SRX PowerCell is assembled with point to point wiring consisting of an entire kilogram of pure 6N silver totaling a whopping 133 feet!
Re-engineered ULF and DC Biasing
ULF, in its most basic principle, is how we ‘reclock’ our music to the Schumann Resonance by passively addressing and filtering out ambient RF and extreme high frequency noise that would otherwise degrade sound. The SRX PowerCell utilizes the Galileo SX PowerCell’s power supply and ULF Field Generator and improves upon it in the following ways:
- We implement a reformulated Ultra Low-Frequency RF bias captured from learnings gleaned from our SRX PowerCell and Voodoo streamer/server development programs.
- The nature of how we bias ULF has dramatically changed.
- The way we integrate both ULF and DC into EM cells has also changed.
- The power supply that generates the DC bias to EM cells has been radically evolved.
- New 24k Gold UEF tuning circuits bring harmonic richness and enhanced musicality.
With these advancements, SR is now able to precisely control the phase points between the frequencies used for bias. When selecting between the two biases on the SRX PowerCell, they reflect SR’s most current understanding of ULF treatment and will deliver a more favorable, welcoming response to your music.
Grounding, Elevated
The internal power supply and ULF Generator included in the SRX PowerCell are further enhanced with a UEF Ground Plane first developed for the Galileo SX PowerCell to lower the noise floor and increase soundstaging. And to take this performance to a higher level still there is the option to ground the SRX PowerCell to one of our Active Ground Blocks which improves low-frequency weight and attack as it lowers the noise floor further still without sacrificing one of the duplexes, so you have the full 20 outlets to filter all components in your system without loss of current.
Power Your Whole System
Pink Quantum Outlets make its introduction into the SRX PowerCell, delivering a lower noise floor and improved detail while retaining natural warmth when compared to our Purple Quantum Outlets. Better yet, there are 20 Pink Outlets, separated into three isolated banks so you can optimally allocate your power distribution across the analog and digital sections of your entire system. Two 5v LPS USB outputs are also available to power FEQs, Atmospheres, or other accessories you may have.
Form Elevates Function
The SRX PowerCell chassis is mechanically and electromagnetically voiced. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, carbon fiber and plexiglass, its design strategically dampens and directs mechanical resonance from the ambient environment, the energy created by your speakers and how that feeds back into the circuit, and the vibrations generated by the transformers in the unit. The material makeup, physical size, and windows into the unit optimize the efficiency and directivity of the electromagnetic fields generated by the EM cells to bring sound as close to life as possible.
