Sonus faber is not new to the arena of subwoofer design and engineering. The first subwoofer project, the Gravis FB100, was launched back in 1986, ten years later was born Sonus faber Cremona M. The Gravis III, V and VI subwoofers, the most powerful and high-end models of the active systems line, have been designed to be the perfect complement to all the loudspeakers collections that marked the history of Sonus faber. Aesthetically connected by the body enriched by a black leather covering, they differ from each other by the finishes of the hand-finished wooden top.

Each Gravis VI subwoofer boasts an artisan-crafted wooden or lacquer top, enhancing its aesthetic allure. With its sleek, unembellished body, the design radiates a sense of purity and sophistication, complemented by Sonus faber’s signature leather finish on the sides.

The Gravis VI subwoofer offers versatile connectivity, accommodating both high-level and low-level signals. The high-level input employs a Speakon© 4-pin connector, while the line-level signals can be transmitted via balanced or unbalanced cables.

Gravis VI features a potent 12” (305mm) long-stroke driver equipped with a Trilaminated sandwich cone diaphragm. This diaphragm is constructed from two layers of woven synthetic fibers (Fiberglass) with a nomex honeycomb layer in between, enabling precise control of driver excursion and resistance flexing. The cone's remarkable blend of stiffness and lightweight design ensures that Gravis VI delivers both massive air movement and precise articulation.

Gravis VI can be wirelessly paired by using the Gravis Transmitter. The Gravis Transmitter transmits signals in wireless mode to the Gravis VI active subwoofer, with maximum versatility in a compact form that is easy to integrate into any listening environment.

The Gravis VI is fully controllable through dedicated, user-friendly app. Available for iOS and Android systems, this app makes the subwoofers simple to configure and use.
