In order to maintain the same concept as the first-generation model, the structure of "TUNAMI V2" remains unchanged. However, it has been refined with the incorporation of the 102 SSC precision conductor, giving it a fresh look and feel. From the serene atmosphere of TUNAMI, one can even feel the pre-performance of sound source. Since our establishment in 1952, Oyaide Electric has utilized state-of-the-art technologies specific to our specialized cables.

"102 SSC" - Oyaide Electric Precision Conductor

  • To avoid impurities as much as possible, only virgin copper that does not contain any recycled copper is used in accordance with JIS C1011.
  • Peeling process is applied to remove 100% of impurities attached to the surface.
  • In order to facilitate the flow of electrical signals through the surface layer of the conductor, the strand is made finer using a natural diamond die to improve the surface smoothness of the strand.
  • The stranded wire is processed with a processing accuracy of ±1μm, far exceeding the standard error tolerance of ±8μm.
  • Two annealing processes are used to eliminate mechanical stress distortions in the strands.
  • Thorough product control of manufacturing control values, maintenance, shipping days, etc. Achieved the highest conductivity of 102.3% IACS.

3 Core 3.5sq. Conductors for High Speed and High Power Transmission

It provides high power transmission of 600V maximum 20 Amps withstand voltage and aggressive response. Short-pitch stranded wire twisted at 1.15 times the normal tension eliminates random gaps in the conductor and suppresses sound quality degradation caused by wire-to-wire distortion. We also paid close attention to the adhesion rate between the insulator and conductor. The insulator and conductor are evenly adhered to each other, eliminating random gaps and degradation of sound quality caused by interline distortion.

Polymer Polyolefin with Excellent Electrical Characteristics for Insulation to Reduce Signal Loss

Polymeric polyolefin with excellent electrical characteristics is used for the insulation coating of the conductor. Compared to ordinary PVC insulation, it has an extremely low dielectric constant of 1/4, which reduces signal loss and produces a less muddy reproduction sound.

Triple Layer Shielding to Shut Out Noise

The first layer is an electromagnetic wave absorber, the second layer is a carbon layer, and the third layer is a copper foil. The first layer converts the electromagnetic waves caused by the inevitable disturbance of magnetic flux into heat energy by mixing the electromagnetic wave absorber into the compound. When electricity flows through the cable, weak vibrations are generated, and the vibrations cause corona discharge in materials charged with static electricity. "TUNAMI GPX V2" will be plated with gold/palladium specially arranged for the buffed bronze terminals (P/C-046 Special Edition). The thickness of the plating is optimally-adjusted for the TUNAMI GPXe.. The Italian red outer cover foreshadows the passion put into the "TUNAMI GPX V2".
