The OePhi Transcendence S/PDIF Cable designed with a focus on "time-domain integrity" to prevent distortion of binary square-wave signals. Positioned above the Ascendance line, it is engineered to offer greater realism and accuracy by minimizing the electrical parameters that can smear digital timing. With ETI Kryo RCA or ETI Kryo XLR (for AES/EBU) connectors, the Transcendence features further optimized copper conductors with absolute minimum inductive and capacitive geometry that results in optimized phase behavior with minimal time domain distortion.
Unlike the competition, all OePhi digital cables are based on minimal capacitance geometry, which means OePhi transmits signals with superior time integrity. Rather than chasing frequency extension or tonal colouration, the Transcendence is engineered to preserve the shape of the digital waveform — keeping jitter-inducing distortions to a minimum and allowing the downstream DAC to reconstruct the audio signal from the cleanest possible source data.
The cotton damped air dielectric is a key part of this approach: air is one of the lowest-loss dielectric materials available, and the cotton damping controls mechanical resonances that would otherwise modulate the signal. The result is a cable that stays out of the way of the music.
