Utilising OePhi's proprietary optimised geometry, the Ascendance USB makes it possible to take full advantage of the USB interface's audio potential. By means of minimum capacitance and inductance, OePhi extends the boundaries of USB performance.

Unlike the competition, all OePhi digital cables are based on minimal capacitance geometry, which means OePhi transmits signals with superior time integrity. Rather than chasing frequency extension or tonal colouration, the Ascendance is engineered to preserve the shape of the digital waveform — keeping jitter-inducing distortions to a minimum and allowing the downstream DAC to reconstruct the audio signal from the cleanest possible source data.

The cotton damped air dielectric is a key part of this approach: air is one of the lowest-loss dielectric materials available, and the cotton damping controls mechanical resonances that would otherwise modulate the signal. The result is a cable that stays out of the way of the music.
