At its core, the Ascendance is built around OePhi's fundamental insight into digital transmission: any transmission of digital information is constrained by the analogue media that carries it — the square waveform of binary signals is modulated by a cable's electrical parameters, causing irreparable distortion in the time domain. The Ascendance addresses this directly through its minimal capacitance geometry, ensuring that the binary signal arrives at the DAC with its timing intact. True to OePhi's house sound across all cable tiers, the Ascendance aims for transparency over character. Unlike the competition, all OePhi digital cables are based on minimal capacitance geometry, which means OePhi transmits signals with superior time integrity. Rather than chasing frequency extension or tonal colouration, the Ascendance is engineered to preserve the shape of the digital waveform — keeping jitter-inducing distortions to a minimum and allowing the downstream DAC to reconstruct the audio signal from the cleanest possible source data.
The cotton damped air dielectric is a key part of this approach: air is one of the lowest-loss dielectric materials available, and the cotton damping controls mechanical resonances that would otherwise modulate the signal. The result is a cable that stays out of the way of the music.

The custom build of every cable means any termination is available. RCA connections coming from the acclaimed ETI and Aeco and all other terminations are carefully chosen for optimal performance and quality.
