The Norma REVO SC-2 preamplifier is a pure and elegant design combined with very refined technology. It is completely remote-controllable in all its functions and it uses an exclusive high quality P.D.D.A. (Programmable Digital Analogue Attenuation) volume control, which attenuates between 0.0 dB and -127.0 dB in steps of 0.5 dB, with a typical precision of +/- 0.01 dB.
The input selection uses high-quality relays and no integrated circuit is used on the critical signal path. The concept of the REVO SC-2 is to combine modern functionality with an internal design that maintains the integrity and purity of the audio signal. From a sound quality perspective, the treatment of the audio signal is a beneficial way of defining what is considered to be High-End.
Its plasma display with adjustable light intensity is always clearly visible from a distance and thanks to the microprocessor management system and the dedicated software, the REVO SC-2 combines simplicity and comfort with extraordinary versatility and customisation. The SC-2 preamplifier can be ordered with a Phono stage and also with Multi-channel mode. Rare at this price level, it can work both in Active and Passive mode, making the Norma REVO SC-2 a truly capable preamplifier with a sound quality you will fall in love with.
The REVO SC-2LN preamplifier can be ordered with the following options if desired
- Phono option to suit MM & MC cartridges, multiple gain and input impedance settings
- Multichannel option, 2 sets of 6 channel inputs
- DAC option, 5 digital in (4 x SPDIF, 1 x USB)
The original circuitry adopted, implemented on two independent monophonic boards for both channels, fully embodies Norma sound direction: neutrality, refinement, speed, dynamics and width of the sound stage merge in perfect balance, in total absence of listening fatigue or artificiality.
REVO SC-2 LN features a unique volume control named PD AA: its attenuation range is 128 decibels in 0.5 decibel steps, and is made with discrete resistor arrays. The active-passive mode is exclusive, allowing you to bypass the active/line stage when it is not necessary to amplify the signal arriving from the source and destined for the power amplifier.
Considering the already high level (typically 2VRms) of the digital sources, in fact, the output signal necessary to drive the power amplifier without saturating its input is, in almost all cases, lower than that generated by the source itself; in these conditions, the preamplifier will therefore have to operate in attenuation, making the amplification of the line stage superfluous.

About
Norma is based in Cremona, Italy.
The city and its surroundings are well known all over the world for being home to great composers as Monte- verdi and Ponchielli, and to famous violin makers such as Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri and many others. As of today, more than 100 violin makers’ shops are found in the ancient roads of the city.
In this inspiring context, where music permeates everything, for more than 20 years Norma has been involved in the study and implementation of sophistica- ted audio amplifiers, where technical skills and musical sensitivity must be merged together, in the same way the best musical instruments are made.
The result of this endeavor is a unique sound, which represents a synthesis of parameters usually set one against each other: dynamics, speed, and absolute transparency are combined with extraordinary musica- lity and total lack of listening fatigue.
The struggle between solid state and valves is finally overcome, as is the concept or reproduction.
Norma brings the listener to an intimate relation with the original event.
