NORMA is pleased to present the new REVO DS-2 Digital Source. It is an extremely interesting product, both for its outstanding technical content and for its noticeable versatility, obviously combined with the rigor of NORMA musical tradition.

The Norma REVO DS-2 CD Player/DAC combination unit has proven to be a transformational piece for digital playback. With special attention to the power supply and analog as a reference, this product is capable of providing greater texture, a more organic sound, and a more realistic holographic presentation than its peers.

Norma's desire for a more analog sound can be found in the heart of these units with the A-DAC proprietary conversion technology.  Why A-DAC?  Because A represents their pursuit of Analog. With proprietary I-V Conversion and a fully discrete analog section, the A-DAC is an advancement years in the making.

The NORMA REVO DS-2 source offers a complete set of digital inputs. As a matter of fact, there is both a full bandwidth USB input (192.0 KHz) as well as 4 SPDIF inputs, coaxial, optical and XLR. Therefore, all the features for an advanced digital source are contained within a single frame, and they are able to meet even the most demanding user’s needs with no limitations, both in terms of versatility as well as of listening quality. The same conversion section and the same output stages that made the REVO CDP1R unique, famous and appreciated, are used in REVO DS-2 enabling it to reach top world production levels as the quality of sound reproduction.

    About

Norma is based in Cremona, Italy.

The city and its surroundings are well known all over the world for being home to great composers as Monte- verdi and Ponchielli, and to famous violin makers such as Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri and many others. As of today, more than 100 violin makers’ shops are found in the ancient roads of the city.

In this inspiring context, where music permeates everything, for more than 20 years Norma has been involved in the study and implementation of sophistica- ted audio amplifiers, where technical skills and musical sensitivity must be merged together, in the same way the best musical instruments are made.

The result of this endeavor is a unique sound, which represents a synthesis of parameters usually set one against each other: dynamics, speed, and absolute transparency are combined with extraordinary musica- lity and total lack of listening fatigue.

The struggle between solid state and valves is finally overcome, as is the concept or reproduction.

Norma brings the listener to an intimate relation with the original event.
