The Norma HS-IPA1 is an integrated designed for the enthusiast who values space as much as they value sound.  With half the width of a normal component, this compact integrated offers a high fidelity product in a unit the size of a women's shoe box. This does not mean its short on power, still offering 75 watts per channel at 8 ohms.

In addition to the potent punch, the HS-IPA1 offers great versatility.  One of the four inputs available can be configured to instead work as a pre-out, allowing users a simple solution to hook up another amplifier or pair of subwoofers.  With the optional headphone, phono, and DAC boards, one can get a fully integrated solution for any use they require - just add a music source!

Because of this versatility and size, it is a perfect solution for the audiophile who choose to run a two channel system in shared spaces, such as the living room.  With the optional DAC, its even ready to take over TV audio responsibilities!

The HS IPA-1 amplifier was born from the desire to offer the sophistication of Norma sound in a single compact solution, combined with surprising completeness and versatility of use. Admiring the complex but linear internal engineering, the parallel with the architecture of the best mechanical watches comes naturally: complex and fascinating as a whole, it is evident how each element has its own specific function and finds its own space. The generous sizing of the power supplies is combined with circuitry implemented on several overlapping levels. The almost total lack of wiring testifies to the care and respect for the integrity of the musical signal. HS IPA-1 features 4 analog inputs, fixed level tape output, Phono MM/MC input.

About

Norma is based in Cremona, Italy.

The city and its surroundings are well known all over the world for being home to great composers as Monte- verdi and Ponchielli, and to famous violin makers such as Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri and many others. As of today, more than 100 violin makers’ shops are found in the ancient roads of the city.

In this inspiring context, where music permeates everything, for more than 20 years Norma has been involved in the study and implementation of sophistica- ted audio amplifiers, where technical skills and musical sensitivity must be merged together, in the same way the best musical instruments are made.

The result of this endeavor is a unique sound, which represents a synthesis of parameters usually set one against each other: dynamics, speed, and absolute transparency are combined with extraordinary musica- lity and total lack of listening fatigue.

The struggle between solid state and valves is finally overcome, as is the concept or reproduction.

Norma brings the listener to an intimate relation with the original event.
