BassCore Technology

Since a thicker conductor improves low-frequency reproduction, we employed a solid conductor (the so-called 'BassCore') for low frequencies, and surrounded it with flexible strands for mid and high frequencies. This allows us to take advantage of the best sound characteristics of both gauges. This solution delivers perfect sound quality across the entire frequency range, with a slightly warmed and extended bass response.

Solid Grip Technology

"When connecting loudspeakers and an audio amplifier with bare wire, the exposed copper oxidizes quickly, increasing cable resistance and negatively impacting sound fidelity. This is why high-quality cables rely on connectors such as banana plugs. The SBSC speaker cables use a special new technology for securely connecting the plugs to the speaker cable without solder—Solid Grip Technology. Unlike standard screw terminal connections, Solid Grip Technology involves crimping a properly prepared plug onto the speaker cable using a press. This process ensures that all the strands are tightly compressed together with the plug, eliminating gaps and maximizing the contact area. The resulting monolithic structure creates a smooth, uninterrupted signal path, significantly reducing connection resistance. Cables and plugs connected using Solid Grip Technology offer much higher conductivity than terminals made with screws or soldered joints. The solution used in Melodika Sky Blue SBSC speaker cables provides a reliable, durable connection that resists oxidation and offers excellent electrical conductivity with reduced resistance. Furthermore, the plugs are plated with 24k gold, which does not oxidize in air, ensuring low resistance is maintained throughout the cable's lifespan.
