LHY LPS-T8 Linear Power Supply for Eversolo T8
Taxes & Shipping Included
The LHY Audio LPS-T8 Linear Power Upgrade Kit is designed for the Eversolo T8, replacing and refining the internal power path without chassis cutting. The kit includes an EMI AC filter board, an LHY AUDIO hand-wound shielded toroidal transformer, a DC linear regulator board, and OCC copper internal wiring. LPS-T8 follows the actual power route inside the T8: incoming AC first passes through the EMI filter board, then through the custom shielded toroidal transformer for isolation. The DC stage uses LT4320 ideal rectification, Nichicon KG/FW filtering, and ADI LT3042 linear regulation, before feeding the T8 through OCC copper wiring. The upgrade does not alter the T8 digital platform; it focuses on lower ripple, lower path impedance, and more stable power delivery.
LPS-T8 follows the real power path inside the player: the EMI AC filter board first treats line-borne interference, the LHY AUDIO hand-wound shielded toroidal transformer provides isolation, LT4320 rectification with Nichicon reservoir filtering and LT3042 linear regulation forms the DC stage, and OCC copper internal wiring completes the connection into the T8. It does not change the T8 digital platform; it focuses on supply noise, path impedance, and an internal installation that fits the chassis without cutting.
The T8 already uses a linear power architecture. LPS-T8 is for owners who want to take that foundation further: a production power design must balance cost, space, heat, reliability, and consistency, while LHY AUDIO focuses this upgrade specifically on power-supply engineering.
Linear Supply, Built To A Product Target A complete digital transport has to balance performance, cost, space, heat, reliability, and production consistency.
Dedicated Power-Supply Engineering LHY AUDIO applies its power design experience to filtration, transformer craft, rectification, regulation, and internal wiring.
Refresh The T8 From Its Power Foundation The goal is not to change the T8's digital platform, but to give it a cleaner, lower-ripple supply environment.
Features
-
Nearly 90% Lower Measured Ripple
- Under controlled bench conditions, the stock PSU measured 21.13µV ripple at no load and 32.09µV under full load. With LPS-T8 installed, ripple measured 2.577µV at no load and 3.556µV under full load, representing approximately 87.8% lower ripple at no load and 88.9% lower ripple under full load. This gives the T8 a quieter electrical foundation.
-
LHY AUDIO Handcrafted Toroidal Transformer
- The latest LPS-T8 uses an LHY AUDIO hand-wound shielded toroidal transformer instead of a standard industrial transformer. It features a 0.27mm high-flux silicon steel core rated above 19,000 Gauss, 6N OFC primary winding, 7N OFC secondary winding, sealed high-purity copper-foil shielding, and layered vibration damping. Each transformer is verified under a 12-hour full-load test, with output consistency controlled within ±0.5%.
-
Cleaner AC Input Path
- The original relay-based automatic voltage switching is replaced by a manual 110V / 220V terminal jumper. This shortens the AC input path, reduces relay contact points, and helps improve long-term connection reliability.
-
Dedicated EMI Input Filtering
- The EMI board uses an advanced two-stage filter design with RIFA X2 / Y2 safety-rated capacitors and dual large OFC-wound toroidal common-mode chokes, reducing line-borne interference before power conversion.
-
Low-Noise DC Regulation Stage
- The DC regulator board uses LT4320 ideal full-wave rectification, ADI LT3042 ultra-low-noise linear regulation, and PNP current boosting. Filtering is handled by Nichicon KG 10,000µF / 50V ×4, Nichicon FW 1000µF / 25V ×12, and WIMA 0.1µF / 1000V ×3 film capacitors. A 2.0mm PCB, 2.5oz copper, immersion-gold finish, and WBT solder further support lower impedance and stable current delivery.
-
Listening Feedback
- Typical owner feedback includes a quieter background, clearer low-level detail, better separation, cleaner bass stops and starts, and smoother vocal texture. Final results will vary with the system, cables, music, placement, and room conditions.

Specifications
Product Name: LHY AUDIO Eversolo T8 Dedicated Power Upgrade Kit
Compatible Model: Eversolo T8
EMI AC Filter Board:
Input voltage is 115V or 230V AC mains. Output voltage is also 115V or 230V AC, manually selectable via an on-board terminal.
Rectifier/Regulator Board:
Input voltage is supplied by the dedicated transformer secondary output. Output voltage is 12V DC.
Ripple Noise:
Measured ripple is 2.577µVrms at no load and 3.556µVrms under full load. Compared with the stock unit, which measured 21.13µVrms at no load and 32.09µVrms under full load, LPS-T8 reduces ripple by approximately 87.8% at no load and 88.9% under full load.
Dimensions:
EMI AC filter board: 115 × 60 × 27 mm.
Rectifier/regulator board: 170 × 72 × 45 mm.
Weight:
0.45 kg for the two-board set. Total kit weight varies depending on transformer and included accessories.
Accessories Included:
6-pin ribbon cable, cross-head screwdriver, hex key, gloves.
Key Performance Metrics:
After the upgrade, ripple noise is significantly reduced. It measures 2.577µVrms at no load and 3.556µVrms under full load, roughly one-eighth to one-ninth of the stock unit’s measured ripple. The output voltage is 12V DC, matching the power requirements of the Eversolo T8. Voltage selection is changed to a manual 115V / 230V terminal, replacing the stock relay-based automatic switching to shorten the AC path and reduce relay contact points.
Component & Process Comparison:
For the rectifier stage, LHY uses an ADI LT4320 high-performance ideal diode bridge, while the stock unit uses MUR860 fast-recovery diodes. For voltage regulation, the upgrade employs an ADI LT3042 ultra-low-noise linear regulator paired with PNP current boosting; the stock unit uses an OPA277 op-amp with MOSFET regulation.
The main filter capacitors are upgraded to four Nichicon KG 10,000µF / 50V capacitors, compared with the stock six 6,800µF / 35V capacitors. The output filter stage uses twelve Nichicon FW 1,000µF / 25V capacitors, supplemented by WIMA film capacitors.
In terms of PCB and build quality, the upgrade features a 2.0mm PCB, 2.5oz copper, immersion-gold finish, and WBT solder. The transformer is an LHY AUDIO hand-wound shielded toroidal transformer with OFC copper windings, copper-foil shielding, and vibration damping.
Professional Test Equipment:
Testing is carried out with professional bench instruments, including electronic load, oscilloscope, precision multimeter, APx525 audio analyzer, and spectrum analyzer equipment, to verify electrical performance under controlled conditions.
