The JBL 4369 represents a masterclass in studio monitor engineering, combining decades of acoustic expertise with cutting-edge driver technology. At its foundation lies a custom-engineered 15" woofer with dual voice coils and advanced neodymium magnetics, delivering controlled, distortion-free bass and midrange reproduction. The sophisticated compression driver system, paired with JBL's proprietary HDI waveguide, ensures pristine high-frequency clarity and expansive stereo imaging. This two-way architecture achieves a rare balance of authoritative presence and refined articulation, capturing the full dimensional character of your recordings with the transparency and tonal accuracy that professional studios demand.
JBL loudspeakers have been the choice of music and movie professionals for more than 60 years; they are behind the screens of more than 50 percent of all movie theaters and hang in concert venues everywhere. In fact, the line of JBL Studio Monitors dates to almost 50 years ago; yet the spirit behind their design began with James B. Lansing himself.
This spirit has always been to use the best technology to deliver the best performance. To the Studio Monitor legacy, this has resulted in increasingly louder speakers of steadily greater dynamic capability, increasing accuracy of reproduction, all with JBL’s unique“bullet-proof” approach to design and assembly.
The flagship JBL 4365 Studio Monitor was first produced in 2010, setting new levels of performance by empl oyi ng the 1501FE-8 15" woofer, a 476Mg high-frequency compression driver and horn, and an 045Ti -1 ultra-high-frequency compression driver and horn.
Originally launched more than a decade ago, the JBL 4367 “heritage revival” of those original JBL models did well in the global market, and the new JBL 4369 honors that legacy while elevating every aspect, from upgraded driver technologies and refined cabinet design to a next-generation crossover network, cementing its place as the new flagship of the JBL Studio Monitor Series.
At the core of the JBL 4369 is a newly developed 15” (2219Nd-1) Differential Drive woofer, featuring dual three-inch voice coils and advanced neodymium motor structure. This patented design incorporates a ribbed pure pulp cone, copper cap/Faraday rings, dual opposing spiders, and a rigid cast aluminum frame engineered to deliver superior excursion, reduced distortion, and exceptional control across the low to mid-frequency spectrum.
Upper-mid and high frequencies are handled by JBL’s patented D2830B annular ring compression driver. Featuring dual three-inch diaphragms and neodymium motor structures, it is seamlessly integrated with a next-generation Sonoglass High-Definition Imaging (HDI) horn. This waveguide design improves the imaging, providing wide dispersion and a smooth response with refined detail and dynamics. Together, these drivers form a two-way system that marries power with finesse to faithfully reproduce every nuance of the source material with the kind of scale, realism, and tonal purity that defines JBL’s studio heritage.
To further elevate performance, the 4369 employs JBL’s MultiCap crossover network design, using DC-biased capacitors to increase dynamics, reduce signal loss, and improve consistency. Dual front-firing tuned ports optimize bass response, while IsoAcoustics Stage 1 isolator feet provide exceptional decoupling from floor vibrations. This is the second major Harman/JBL collaboration with the Canadian company, which is also supplying the feet for the new flagship Summit Series.
The 4369 remains true to JBL’s signature Studio Monitor aesthetic with bold proportions and premium materials. The cabinet, constructed of one-inch MDF, features a dual-layer front baffle and is offered in two luxurious furniture-grade wood veneer finishes: Walnut with a classic blue grille or Black Walnut with a matching classic black grille. Signature front-panel controls allow users to fine-tune high and ultra-high frequencies, while a custom-milled aluminum terminal cup houses dual gold-plated binding posts for bi-wire and bi-amp configurations.
