Jay's Audio CDT3-MK3 CD Transport

The Jay's Audio CDT3-MK3 is the brand's cost-no-object flagship statement piece, meticulously engineered to extract the absolute limit of performance from the Redbook CD format. Weighing a massive 22 kg (48.5 lbs), it is a "two-storey" mechanical powerhouse built from solid, CNC-machined blocks of aluminum. A heavy, mechanically decoupled internal aluminum plate completely isolates its sensitive signal paths from the massive power supply underneath. At the heart of the Jay's Audio CDT3-MK3 is an in-house tuned, reference-grade Philips CD-Pro2 LF linear-tracking mechanism, damped on an independent aluminum plinth to obliterate mechanical resonance. Unlike its smaller siblings, it features five massive Talema encapsulated transformers, over 150,000 µF of power capacitance across seven separate circuit boards, and boutique-grade Mundorf Silver coupling capacitors paired with Scientific Digital isolation transformers. This extreme level of isolation, combined with its ultra-precision Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) and selectable upsampling (44.1kHz to 176.4kHz), results in a transcendent sonic signature. It delivers a colossal, layered soundstage, unmatched transient snap, and an emotionally expressive, analog fluidity that stands as a definitive benchmark for high-end optical disc transcription.
