The JAVA Hi-Fi Carbon Single Shot 400 integrated amplifier represents the absolute zenith of high-current, single-ended design, engineered for audiophiles who demand uncompromising power alongside an incredibly quiet presentation. By discarding traditional wood veneers for an ultra-premium, 9mm thick solid carbon fiber outer casing, this flagship single-ended amplifier utilizes advanced material science to act as a complete Faraday cage, eradicating radio frequency interference (RFI) and microphonic chassis vibrations. Beneath its resonance-damped armor lies a purist, component-light Light-Dependent Resistor (LDR) pre-amplifier section coupled with a high-current Gallium Nitride (GaN) FET Class D power stage. This combination forces an authoritative 400 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (doubling to a massive 800 Watts into 4 Ohms), allowing it to drive demanding loudspeakers with lightning-fast transient response and deep, rhythmic bass control. Outfitted with high-performance hardware—including a multi-bit Analog Devices R2R ladder DAC, an onboard Moving Magnet phono stage, ETI Research Kryo binding posts, and IsoAcoustics Gaia IV isolation feet—the Carbon Single Shot 400 plunges the musical background into an absolute, pitch-black silence. It stands as a striking, one-box audio sanctuary that offers single-ended fluid warmth and massive dynamic headroom without a single ounce of digital harshness.
JAVA Hi-Fi breakthrough technologies come together to stunning effect in our range of integrated amplifiers. Combining an LDR pre-amp stage with GaN FET amplifier modules, these fully-featured amps include line level inputs, a High-resolution R2R Ladder DAC, MM phono stage, Bluetooth aptX connectivity and more. An elegant one-box solution that will meet all of your audio needs, the JAVA Single Shot 400 delivers 400 watts/8 ohms per channel.
The JAVA Hi-Fi Carbon Single Shot Integrated Amplifier is designed to reproduce music with extraordinary realism. Featuring an LDR pre-amplifier stage and cutting-edge GaN FET amplifier modules, our innovative technology and premium componentry works in harmony to reveal subtle new details in familiar pieces of music. Music flows effortlessly from your speakers in its purest form, enveloping the listener in an immersive soundstage that takes you directly to the heart of the performance – to the simple moment when the music becomes beautiful.
Premium materials are selected for each JAVA Hi-Fi amplifier based on their aesthetic qualities, their durability and their ability to isolate structural vibration and minimise resonance. A unique inverted assembly design further isolates critical electronic circuits from vibration, while high-accuracy laser-cutting and CNC machining of components (utilising advanced computer-aided design software) ensures optimum fit and finish. Extensive prototyping and testing of every component ensures only the highest-quality finished product is shipped, guaranteeing years of trouble-free listening.
The Carbon Fiber Advantage
Carbon fiber is an electrically conductive material. When formed into a continuous 9mm thick shell, it acts as a highly effective Faraday cage. It absorbs and reflects stray high-frequency air pollution, draining it off via the chassis ground before it can contaminate the delicate LDR preamp stage or the R2R ladder DAC.
Carbon fiber possesses an incredibly high strength-to-weight ratio and a property called high internal damping. It does not ring. Instead, it acts as an energy sink, rapidly converting structural vibrations and acoustic energy from your loudspeakers into microscopic amounts of heat. This prevents kinetic energy from traveling through the chassis and shaking the internal circuit boards.
The conductive, rigid structure of the carbon fiber shell helps isolate these internal power modules. It acts as an internal shield, keeping the high-frequency switching hash of the power amplifier isolated away from the highly sensitive, passive LDR volume control network.
