George Michael / Wham! - Last Christmas (Greatest Hits)

Original soundtrack to the 2019 motion picture featuring the music of George Michael and Wham. Starring Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and co-written by Oscar winner Emma Thompson, who also stars in the film. The storyline was inspired by the lyrics of Wham!'s "Last Christmas" and George Michael's music in general. Emma Thompson presented the project to George Michael and secured his blessing before he passed away on Christmas day in 2016. The film opens with the entirety of "Last Christmas" and includes a total of 15 George Michael and Wham! songs strategically synced throughout the film. Additionally, an unreleased song titled "This Is How (We Want You To Get High)" serves as the end-title track. While the film is not a biopic, it draws inspiration from George Michael, with references to him woven throughout. This soundtrack provides a nostalgic experience for those familiar with George's music and introduces a new audience to his work.
