The preamp is the heart of the system, this one just happens to have power built in. The BasX TA2+ stereo integrated amplifier with DAC and tuner is the control center of a serious two-channel or 2.1 system, combining a true analog preamp stage, high-current Class A/B power, and expanded balanced connectivity in one thoughtfully engineered chassis.

This new-generation TA2+ adds balanced XLR analog inputs and outputs, a balanced subwoofer output, HDMI ARC for seamless TV integration, USB-C for modern computers, and full analog bass management for precise 2.1 setup. That means quieter connections, better long-cable performance, smarter source integration, and tighter control over how your speakers and sub work together. Add a turntable with the built-in MM/MC phono preamp, stream over Bluetooth, or expand with an external amplifier later.

The BasX TA2+ is a high performance stereo component that includes an internal stereo FM tuner, plenty of inputs for all of your other analog and digital sources, and a powerful internal audiophile quality Class A/B stereo amplifier. Simply connect a pair of high quality loudspeakers to the TA2+ for a great sounding stereo system, or use the internal Bass Management to add a powered subwoofer, and create an even more powerful 2.1 channel system.

Analog inputs include three pairs of stereo unbalanced line level inputs, and one pair of stereo balanced line level inputs, for sources like CD players, and a high performance phono preamp that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Digital audio inputs, which are converted into analog by the high performance internal DAC in the TA2+, include a high-resolution asynchronous USB input, two Toslink optical S/PDIF inputs, one Coax electrical S/PDIF input, one HDMI-ARC input which can accept two-channel PCM audio directly from the ARC-enabled input on a TV, and a built-in AptX capable Bluetooth receiver.

The TA2+ can be controlled by the buttons and knob conveniently located on its front panel, or by the included high-quality, all metal, full function remote control. The intuitive menu system makes the TA2+ simple to configure and operate, and the large bright blue VFD display on the front panel is easy to read, and shows you exactly what’s going on at all times. You can simply connect the speaker outputs on the TA2+ to a pair of high-quality full range speakers, or utilize the built-in Bass Management to add a powered subwoofer, and a full set of balanced and unbalanced preamp outputs are included that can be used to connect the TA2+ to a separate power amp.

Speaker Outputs

• 1 pair - audiophile grade five way binding posts which accept banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wires. To enable Bass Management on the Speaker Outputs, set the High Pass filter to On, and choose the filter cutoff frequency with the associated adjustment knob. These controls affect both the Preamp Outputs and the signal that is routed to the internal amplifiers in the TA2+ equally. Bass Management is implemented via analog 12 dB/octave high-pass filters, whose cutoffoff frequency can be set to anywhere between 40 Hz and 200 Hz.
