The STUDIO C100 preamp is designed for performance by bringing you direct music from the source in the most realistic, colorless and truthful way we know. This preamp is packed with features to give you ultimate control over all audio and video sources on your system. With 4 line inputs and a balanced XLR input, a fully discrete output stage operating in class A and a direct output for Audio / video processors (for home theater), you can rest assured that this preamp will plug and play in your system.
In this new and improved version of our long-lasting C100 preamp they have been sonically upgraded with instrumentation and higher-level components such as Element and Reference, resulting in better resolution, greater harmonic richness and with the speed and dynamics that have become the hallmark of the EamLab family sound
Built with balanced circuitry from input to output, each channel is powered separately and all power supplies are stabilized and optimally filtered.
The engineering of PCBs in SMD technology allows a high rejection to vibrations induced by external causes with a notable reduction of the sound "microphonics". The result is greater detail and focus of the scene and instruments.
The transformers are also resin coated to minimize magnetic induction in the delicate amplification circuits to the advantage of sound contrast and the reduction of background noise.
In our approach to the native balanced philosophy, the single-ended signals of the RCA inputs are also internally converted. The special HDCA sections serve this delicate task by increasing the dynamic crest factor by almost 3 db compared to traditional preamps that do not use this circuit approach. The volume adjustment is entrusted to a digital section that controls two chips (one per channel as proof of the dual mono philosophy) armored in a ceramic container where inside there is an array of resistors that allow the variation of the signal amplitude. the input and output signal remains in fact always analog and only the sweeper control is controlled in the digital domain
With this technology we have eliminated forever those annoying rubbing rustles present in every traditional potentiometer to the advantage of the accuracy of the signal amplitude without disturbances while remaining immune and constant over time.
