Balanced Circuitry – An Engineering Principle, Not a Compromise

Balanced circuitry is not a simple option for us: it is a design philosophy that we have rigorously pursued since our origins. Beyond clichés and conflicting opinions, we are convinced – and the measurements confirm it – that when developed correctly, this architecture represents the state of the art in terms of sound quality.

In the home audio sector there is often a tendency to underestimate its value, considering it superfluous or even harmful to the purity of the signal. In reality, this is only true in the presence of partial or poorly curated implementations, where balanced circuitry is more of a label than a real technical choice.

In the CLASSIC 102i, nothing was left to chance.

The project is based on an architecture fully balanced dual mono, from the supply section to the output stage. Each channel is treated as an independent entity, with symmetric and separate signal paths for maximum noise rejection and maximum timbral coherence.

Volume control is entrusted to an innovative dual stage on MOSFET arrays, digitally driven, which operates in fully balanced mode: two stages per channel, for absolute level control without degrading the signal.

Not only that: single-ended inputs are also symmetrically converted.
Thanks to its native“” balanced architecture, every – line input including RCA ones and even the MM phono stage with RIAA – equalization is completely converted to a balanced domain. This allows you to exploit the advantages of this topology even with unbalanced sources, maintaining dynamics, transparency and silence unchanged.

The result?
A level of musicality, detail and depth that is difficult to match. The CLASSIC 102i offers a sonic rendering that transcends specifications, projecting the listener to the center of the musical event with disarming naturalness.
