We’ve been making tuners since the 1950s and they are one of the hallmarks of McIntosh, with the groundbreaking MR78 FM Tuner from 1972 considered an all-time classic in the audio industry. The built-in AM/FM tuner in the MAC7200 comes from that same illustrious line of McIntosh tuners and will pick up your favorite radio stations with unparalleled clarity and a realism that is free from noise and distortion. The MAC7200's advanced signal quality monitor can display the multi-path and noise levels of the incoming RF signal to help fine tune antenna placement for optimal reception. Dedicated PRESET and TUNING knobs enable easy radio operation. The FM tuner includes Radio Data System (RDS) support, allowing it to display optional information sent by radio stations such as the station’s name and call letters as well as the name of the artist and song being played. It features 20 presets for each radio band as well as a remote AM antenna. The 14 inputs are comprised of both analog and digital input types. For analog, there is 1 balanced and 5 unbalanced inputs plus 1 Moving Coil and 1 Moving Magnet input to connect turntables . For digital, there are 2 coaxial and 2 optical inputs, 1 USB and 1 proprietary MCT input (for use with our MCT500 SACD/CD Transport). All inputs can be given custom names for user-friendly system control and configuration. The digital inputs are contained in our DA1 Digital Audio Module; the DA1 can be replaced by future modules to easily keep the MAC7200 up to date with the latest digital audio technologies. At the heart of the DA1 is a powerful 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) used in Quad Balanced mode. Imagine the core qualities and capabilities of the C1.2 DAC Controller and A1.5 Amplifier combined in a single box. Now throw in the choice parts of the L1 Line-stage and add the option of a P1 phono-stage, all combined in a single, standard CH chassis and you begin to get the picture. All speakers in the Jasper active series use WiSA, a widely recognized industry standard for lossless audio transmission. The Jasper speakers easily connect with other devices that operate on this technology, and using the dedicated Stereo Hub, you can freely use your existing electronics such as CD players, DACs, TVs, etc. The free dedicated Pylon Audio app, available for iOS and Android devices, allows for easy configuration of the entire system (Stereo Hub + speakers). The system is equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth modules, ensuring convenience and fast operation, as well as balanced XLR analog inputs for the highest quality wired connection. The Jasper Monitor 18 active is powered by a discreetly integrated module at the back of each speaker, a high-quality amplifier with a power output of 150 W per transducer. They operate in a modern, high-efficiency, and energy-saving class D, which translates into excellent sound quality and energy efficiency. An advanced DSP processor allows our designers to tune the system freely, optimizing the sound according to the design specifications. Specially selected in terms of technical parameters and sound coherence, the transducers come from the Danish company Scan-Speak. The 18cm Revelator is responsible for reproducing low and mid-range tones, recognized for its unique, sliced membrane. This technique was applied to reduce distortion and so-called "modes" of the membrane, resulting in unprecedented control and elasticity of the bass, as well as expressiveness and tangibility of vocals. The high end of the spectrum is entrusted to a tweeter that uses one of the lightest vibrating assemblies, a dome weighing only 0.18g, easily reproducing all the smallest nuances and details of recordings. The result of these solutions is a sound with precise, colorful, and detailed character. The whole is enclosed in a solid construction with an original form, with bent surfaces preventing standing waves in the enclosure, along with the appropriate front tilt. The additional function of this shape is to equalize the acoustic centers of the speakers, translating into the coherence of the presentation and soundstage.
