Khruangbin's sun-drenched, life-affirming selection transcends borders and cultures, her love for global grooves - from Asian pop to Nigerian reggae - is infused with eclecticism and soul. Nazia Hassan's Hindi disco (produced by the legendary Biddu) meets the South Korean rock band Sanulim, the Nigerian Maxwell Udoh meets the Roha Band from Ethiopia, the Belarusian formation Pesnyary meets Paloma San Brasilio from Madrid. Khruangbin themselves add the obligatory exclusive cover, a brilliant version of Kool \u0026amp; The Gangs' \"Summer Madness\". Fellow Houston artists Tierney Malone (lyrics) and Geoffrey Muller (music) close the set with a spoken word piece backed by an atmospheric banjo version of Eric Satie's \"Gnossienne\".
